It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for, with British retailer John Lewis confirming a release date for this year’s Christmas advert.
The full John Lewis Christmas Advert 2023 will be unveiled this week on Thursday, November 9, with a new tale and soundtrack to steal viewers hearts.
After 14 years working with adam&eveDDB agency, John Lewis Partnership appoints Saatchi & Saatchi as their new creative partner.
On November 7, John Lewis shared a new promo clip on their social media and YouTube accounts, with the caption ‘Christmas begins 9 November #TraditionsGrow’.

So what does this festive teaser tell us?
At what looks to be a flea market, we see a young boy holding up a ‘Grow Your Own Perfect Christmas Tree’ kit in his hand while asking “Gran… can I have this?”
Opening the kit, he reveals the contents – a large, brown seed for the tree.
The scene is then cut with the John Lewis logo, which seems to be in keeping with the teaser’s plant theme.
It looks as though we will have to wait patiently until tomorrow to see the musical artist and song the British retailer has tapped up for this year’s advert, as the teaser fails to give anything away.
In 2022, US artist Mike Geier covered the Blink-182 classic ‘All the Small Things’. Other previous years have included covers by Lily Allen, Tom Odell and Bastille. So we are expecting something big!

Here is what some excited viewers had to say for the big release tomorrow…
Love it😍it's going to be a good one 😃
